Parma Heights's Timothy Kantz Meets Match with Summa Health System/NEOMED. Upon graduating from NEOMED, will begin residency in summer.

2016 Mar 24

On March 18, 2016, Timothy Kantz of Parma Heights was one of 129 fourth-year College of Medicine students at Northeast Ohio Medical University to receive notice of their match for a postgraduate residency following graduation in May.

Kantz will complete Psychiatry residency training at Summa Health System/NEOMED in Akron, Ohio. All 129 students matched, giving NEOMED a 100 percent match rate for the members of the 2016 College of Medicine graduation class. In total, 52 percent of students will remain in Ohio for their residencies, with 48 percent focusing on primary care.

But first, medicine students must participate in graduation ceremonies, May 21, 2016, to receive their Doctor of Medicine degrees.
