Aarushi Suneja Recognized at AIPNO Research Showcase

Aarushi Suneja, a second-year student in the Northeast Ohio Medical University College of Medicine attended the Association of Indian Physicians of Northern Ohio (AIPNO) 30th annual dinner held Nov. 2 at the Cleveland Convention Center's Global Center for Health Innovation, representing the University among area physicians and hospital administrators.

As part of the event, the AIPNO debuted its first-ever Research Showcase, inviting area residents, fellows, nursing staff and hospital administrators to submit poster presentations of medical research for discussion leading up to the dinner. Suneja took second place in the clinical science research category for her poster “Independent Contributions of Education, Anti-Depressants and Other Factors in Aphasia Recovery.”

Suneja is from Farmington Hills, Michigan, and a graduate of North Farmington High School and Kent State University. Suneja is the daughter of Adarsh and Meenu Suneja.
